A Solo Project

About SystemRequirements.net

A solo passion project built by a lifelong gamer.

The Story

Growing up, I couldn't afford a GPU. Forget a gaming PC, I didn't even have a console. But I loved games more than anything.

So every day after school, I'd head straight to the local cyber cafe. I had about 30 minutes of game time, and I made every second count. SmackDown: Here Comes the Pain, Resident Evil 4, Devil May Cry 3. Those games were my entire world for that half hour. Then time ran out and I'd walk home dreaming about the next session.

Then one day, everything changed. My big brother got his first laptop. It had an Intel HD 4000 integrated GPU, absolutely terrible by any standard. But for me? It was heaven on earth.

Suddenly I could play games at home, whenever I wanted. I didn't care about framerates or graphics settings, I was just happy to be playing. GTA San Andreas, Resident Evil 5, DmC: Devil May Cry, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance. I squeezed every bit of juice out of that Intel HD 4000 and played everything I could get my hands on.

That laptop is also where I started learning to code. I'm still not great at it honestly, but I learned enough to build things. I picked up some digital marketing along the way too. I tried running a couple of gaming blogs. They all failed. Every single one.

SystemRequirements.net is my latest project, and this time I'm giving it everything I've got.

Where I Am Now

These days I own a decent thin-and-light laptop with integrated Radeon graphics. AMD has gotten so good with their iGPUs that I'm genuinely having a blast gaming on it. NieR: Automata, Scarlet Nexus, Metal Gear Solid V, and a bunch of other titles run surprisingly well on integrated graphics now.

And yeah, I still dream about getting a PS5 one day. It's happening. Soon. Probably.

I built SystemRequirements.net because I know what it's like to wonder "will this game even run on my machine?" before every purchase. I've been there my entire life. This site is for anyone who's ever had to check minimum specs, tweak settings, or pray for 30 FPS.

What I'm Building

My vision is to cover every single game possible with accurate system requirements, along with free tools like FPS calculators, bottleneck checkers, CPU/GPU comparisons, and stress tests. Everything is free, no sign-up needed.

I'll be honest, there's a lot of room for improvement. Some tools could be more accurate, some pages could be better optimized, and the database can always be more comprehensive. But I'm working on it every day, and I promise I'll do my best to make everything as accurate and useful as possible.
